“Nobody is going to get film offers after doing them”

So, are these celebrities able to bring to the table the same magic and excitement that they once did? Sandeep Sikcand, Chief Creative Director, Sony, is quick to state, “Once a celebrity, always a celebrity.” But, does coming back in the public eye help their career graphs to soar once again? Supriya explains with her example, “It does help a few. In our case, we are not dancers, but after winning Nach Baliye, we got offers to give dance performances.”

Rajeshwari Sachdev, who made a come back in Nach Baliye believes that reality shows might give a platform but “Nobody is going to get film offers after doing them,” she snaps. However, Deepak Parashar has a completely different take on it, “Celebrities should be careful. Reality shows bring out the real you and some times they can adversely affect your public image.”

Whatever the case maybe, till the time India is bit by the reality bug, we get to enjoy the company of a lot of celebrities, both old and new. Well, SRK will soon be on TV, what more can one ask for!
